I LOVE these dryer balls... I've only had them a few weeks now, but they make my towels SO MUCH SOFTER in the dryer than all the smelly, lack-luster liquid or sheet softeners combined over the past 20 + years I've been doing my own laundry.
Where I live, it's hard to hang the wash outside for about 4-5 months a year, such as during the Fall, Winter and Spring. Between dust and dirt filled zephyrs, and wet, muddy dogs, and ice, snow and rain, it's just much easier to use the dryer.
But, I could never get my towels and wash cloths to feel as soft as when I first bought them. So, after much hemming and hawing, and a recommendation from a friend - and Amazon reviews - I broke down and bought these PVC Free dryer balls and I'm in love with the results.
If Nellie's Scent Sticks were available in any other fragrance than lavender, I might purchase some. But, for now, the soft towels are just "my cup of tea!"

I had read from other reviews that these dryer balls are great for reducing drying time and for making towels/linen softer. I can definitely attest to the reduced drying time. It use to be that my laundry schedule was limited by the drying time. Now, with the Nellie Dryerball, I can get more loads of laundry done per day than I use to.

I bought these dryer balls after the holistic veterinarian told me that dryer sheets were dangerous for dogs. She advised against using dryer sheets for any piece of laundry that the dogs slept on. After hearing this and researching dryer sheets, I decided to make the switch for all our laundry.
I use four-six laundry balls at a time and they work great. I purchased this set and the blue balls under the same brand. I have noticed significant decrease dry time for large items such as bedding and towels, but not with regular loads of clothes. My clothes are not wrinkled and do not have static when they come out of the dryer and when I fluff dry clothes it only takes a couple minutes and they are wrinkle free. These dryer balls are high quality and I recommend them. Plus, these are much better for the environment.

I was a bit skeptical but they do work. Naturally a bit noisy but ok. My sheets came out much less tangled than before I used the dryer balls.
