I was looking for a HDMI switcher that would allow me to switch between the cable box, DVD/Surround Sound system, and my new PS3. I was using a pushbutton two-channel switcher I had purchased at Best Buy, but didn't want to have to switch plugs to be able to use the PS3. I thoroughly reviewed all the switchers available on Amazon and found this item. It was reasonably priced and it suits my needs perfectly. I even have an extra input should I want to patch my laptop in. I was reluctant to purchase an automatic switcher because I routinely run the DVD/Surround Sound system with the cable and the PS3. The remote is an added benefit because I no longer have to get up to switch the input.

I decided to get an HDMI monitor for my video gaming to save my DLP's bulb life....it only had one HDMI, which lead me here. I currently run my 360 and PS3 through this box and it loses nothing. I have run both through the box to my 65" and to my monitor and picture and sound are great both ways. Allegedly it senses which HDMI is sending data, in my experience you always have to change it, but there is a remote so no big deal. I have read that the PS3 tends to hog the signal for some reason, not sure. I recommend it, solved my wire switching problem, purely for convenience.

Bought this switch and now have an Xbox360, a PS3, a Comcast cable box and a Zune HD connected to it. No issue whatsoever with any of the devices. When switching, will automatically jump to a port receiving signal, which is actually more useful than one would think.
Build quality is better than expected, although the box itself is not heavy enough (I have it on the back edge of a table, and the 4 HDMI cables are heavy enough to lift the front of the switch)... but really, this is beyond nit-picking.

El equipo es de buena calidad en su construcción. El control remoto a pesar de ser algo grande de tamaño, cumple perfectamente su función. Lo he probado con PS3, DVD, BLURAY, TV, etc. Y funcionó perfectamente sin interferencias ni problema alguno. Lo recomiendo.

I bought this HDMI switch for a Blu-Ray, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Hi-Def DirecTV receiver plugging into a older model 42 inch plasma. The HDMI switch works perfectly with all types of resolutions and inputs from my devices. Not a single issue with resolution, pixilation, lag, etc. No issues whatsoever. Good product.
